Anything major or fairly major really. I love hearing about development projects going on around a city.

As far as real estate development, Providence is probably more than a bit over-developed. We have at least 4 high rises in the downtown area, some still not even completed, that were built due to some over zealous construction companies. There was definetly some overly optimistic economic forecasting regarding the RI economy. We also have another condo development by Canal Street which are still under construction. They were going to build the tallest building in Providence by 1 Turks Head, but that is on hold.

BC/BS looks pretty nice. I had dinner in the G-Tech Building on Saturday and it looks very nice as well (A lot of glass in both BC/BS and G-Tech). I LOVE the new tower at the Westin... I have a friend who has a condo there and it's gorgeous. The Waterplace Condo Towers are cool too.
One Ten is dead I think. I believe something else (shorter) is going in on that site. There's still a lot of other work going on downtown, but I think it's mostly on a smaller scale. I also don't know some specific names. I'll be back in the area next weekend. I should bring my camera and snap some shots of a few of the sites.
On a related note, what's the status on the Westminster Arcade? I know they've closed it, but any idea of when it's going to reopen/ what is happening there?

the W hotel website still has the 110 listed. The W website is also up-to-date so there is still promise for that.

The W is set to go in at 110 Westminster. It's going to be all or a portion of a 22 storey tower. The project scheduled to go in before that (literally called, "One Ten Westminster") which would have included a W hotel and been 40 stories tall was cancelled in 2007.
I think there's more than hope for the W going in there, but unfortunately, the mega project, One Ten, is dead. Anyway, I hope the W includes some sort of residences as the city could use some street life after hours in that area and residences would help that.
