Default Cows sleeping on water beds

I caught this article about Munroe Dairy cows sleeping on water beds. Apparently they live in Ct but the dairy is based in East Providence. Cool.

I've often seen their trucks around and wondered how much home delivery costs.

Looked up their website and found it's only 1.50 service charge, min $10 order. They also carry other food- some from Venda (Venda Ravioli?) even- very interesting. I was thinking this might be useful info for students and others who don't have cars, since it's a way to get home delivered groceries for less than Peapod.

Yes, it is cool, but we can't forget that Rhody Fresh milk is from Rhode Island cows (probably sleeping on mud) on Rhode Island's few remaining dairy farms. Given that apparantly our Vit D levels have never been lower, there is no time like the present to continue supporting our local farms by drinking good old-fashioned milk.

Hmmm, I wonder where Christianson Bros. cows live? Maybe they sleep on plain old hay! Is Read Dairy still in operation?

BTW, we had Munroe or Christianson milk delivered for 30 years. Nothing better. Both egg nogs allowed me to enter the wonderful world of lipitor
