Default Relocating. Need help with temporary housing

Hey All,

I'm planning a move to the Warwick area from Upstate NY at beginning of Oct., and was hoping to find a furnished apartment/townhome/house for 2-4 months while I search for more permanant accomodations. Any recommendations on how to find something in an area that is safe, quiet, includes utilities and accepts cats in the $700-1200/mo. price range.

Just saw an article this morning about people negotiating with landlords for reduced rent since the rental market isn't very tight right now. There definitely should be some flexibility in the rental market here too, although many of those opportunities seem more associated with the colleges. Craigslist has the most options.

You'd probably be better off with an extended-stay type of property....price-wise and condition-wise.

Agree. My boss did that when he transferred up here and it worked out well. We were on Jefferson Blvd. in Warwick, and I think (but not sure) it was The Residence Inn right down the street or one street over on Post Road.
