Default Slab Flooring

I have a question. We are looking at a home near the water and it is on a slab. One agent told us don't buy if it's on a slab. What is the best floring to put down on the first floor when building on a slab near the water?

-a floating "engineered" wood floor (formaldehyde free).

Easy to install without the toxic glues.

Cork planks would be an option too.
