I will be moving in with a friend until I get set and am thinking about using a pods storage box. Does anyone have information about them, are they as easy as I have heard so far?

Yes, they're a pretty decent way to go. Just make sure you have some space to drop that thing where it's accessible and not interfering with anybody else.

Ive used them and they are great but I agree with German - you need to make sure your not going to block off a street if your moving to say Providence, or youll get fined!

In Warwick, if the Pod is visible from the street and has been there 90 days, the city inspectors will come banging furiously on the door and tell you to remove it immediately or you will be heavily fined. I don't know if that is also the case in Providence.

I haven't seen too many Pods in Providence, likely because of the lack of space. So that tells me that they were filled or emptied quickly in Providence. My aunt in Warwick has had one in the driveway across the street from her for about a month now. I've never used them, but my boss did for a recent move and he said it was the easiest thing. I have heard they can be expensive though.

I know some communities will tax them as personal property if the have been in place more than 90 days.
