Default Apartment complex help!

My husband and I are moving to Richmond in a couple weeks, but we are coming up this weekend to find an apartment. I am going to be working at MCV, but we want something a little bit outside of the city. I keep finding a ton of awful apartment reviews online and very few good one. Right now I am looking at the Short Pump, Staples Mill, and Parham Road areas. Does anyone know any good apartment complexes in the area? Are there any good ones in general that you would recommend? We want a 2 bedroom under $1100 plus we have a dog. Thanks for your help!

Try Culpeper Farms off Mayland Dr. and Broad St. Very quiet and clean complex, but it does have a good concentration of Indians, but they stay to themselves.

We stayed in a few different apartments in The Carriage Homes in Wyndham. Had a 1 bedroom and a 2 bedroom. The lower level 1 bedroom apartments are awful. You hear every sound on top of you. The 2 bedroom, multi-levels are much better!. The staff at the office is great! If you have a problem it usually gets resolved very quickly!

You might try Colonial at Waterford in Midlothian. They are very dog friendly.

How big is the dog? Willow Oaks Apartments at Powhite Parkway and Forest Hill Ave allow them up to a certain size. A 2br place falls well within your range and it's closer to the City and river than any of the above mentioned options. Big pluses in my book anyway.
