Default Need some quick help...

A job opportunity (promotion) has come up. The location is Richmond.

What are some nice areas in the vicinity for a family of 4. 4 year old girl, and 1 year old boy. Wife is Speech Pathologist.

Housing costs?

Commute?

Childrens activities?

I would go South to chesterfield county. there are some nice communities out there. It is no secret on this board that I am a huge fan of Hampton Park. Used to live there myself. The kids will think they are in Disney World. The schools are good, in fact a new elementary school will be open this fall for HP kids. There are 2 swimming pools, parks, and mucho activities for kids and adults. You will find friends and start fitting in. Your wife should check into the Chesterfield County schools for jobs (if she wants to work as SLP with the school system). My son was in the SLP program and had the best. He was also in private speech after school. There is one person out there, and still a hike to get to up on Midlothian Tnpke. If she is interested in hanging her own shingle, she could probably pick do very well right on Hull Street.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
