We are driving from Baltimore to Charleston, SC on Tuesday next week and will likely get to the Richmond area sometime between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. My SO is worried about how much traffic we are likely to encounter in that area at that time of the morning. Will this be a problem? Is the traffic stop-and-go like it is in our area at that time of day? We are trying to figure out how long it's going to take us to get to our destination, and between the DC traffic and whatever we encounter in the Richmond area we may have to revise our timetable.

Thanks - I appreciate everyone's help and suggestions.

Yes, unless there is a bad accident it should be a non issue.

Unless there is an accident, traffic should be moving at normal speed. It should take about an hour.
