I'm just curious. . . is Dr. Lavendar (the pastor) running a not for profit for animals? Is it animal rescue?

A friend goes to the church and would like me to attend.

Thanks,

Alley

Um. Yeah. I was hoping you'd explain to me.

I went to a Methodist Church in Short Pump to see their Christmas nativity show. The show was beautiful w/ singing and angels and cute kids etc.

Then towards the end the "Dr." (pastor) brings in live donkeys, sheep, llamas, a camel. . . and a tiger in a cage! Then a male lion appears -- again in a cage, but still. And the lion was roaring and he didn't seem at all happy.

I come from a state where accidents have happened and the animal got away from the trainer and mauled somebody in the crowd.

So, yeah, I was nervous.

And now I'm trying to find out. . . is this a common thing in VA?????

Not a common thing at all except at a zoo! I hope he had a permit for those animals and a good insurance policy. Thanks for explaining but it still sounds insane to me!

Someone has explained this to me in the past but I can't remember the full story. It didn't concern me though. And I'm certain it's above board : ) Honestly I'm more disturbed that on their website someone spelled calendar "callender".
