I am moving to Richmond to start work at VCU on 9/10. I found an apartment for rent near school that I like and that I am in the process of renting, but I need a room to cover me beginning 9/8 through 9/30. I tried craigslist but most places offer long-term rentals. If anyone knows any resources that I could look it to find a room or has a room for rent for 3 weeks, please let me know. I really hope to find a place to stay. Thank you.

HI! Thanks. I called yesterday a place (Value Place or something similar) located off I-64. The problem is that I don't drive (I have a learner permit -- I plan to take the driving test next week and if I pass, I could consider renting a car -- though it's a long shoot and not very realistic right now). The hotel told me there is no public transportation to VCU, so based on the location (I-64), I assume this one is the same. I'll look into calling them to make sure.

Any other suggestions are welcome.
