I'd love to find the most fun indoor pools for kids in the Richmond area.

Thanks!

ACAC Midlothian would get my vote but you can't just join for the winter.

Thanks Ellie!

I understand I'd have to be a full member.

Is the indoor pool strictly lanes? Or do they have a waterslide, mushrooms etc. for the kids?

They have a warm water pool just for kids with a small walk in area for toddlers with a slide and a fun climbing alligator thing for older kids. This is a whole room with tables and chairs all around. We spend a lot of time there, it is a fun pool and it is in the low 90s so DD loves it. Then there are two 4 lane lap pools and a warm water pool and a whirlpool. The warm water pool has a few hours that are just for adults and the whirlpool tub is for teens and up.

Their outdoor kid pool has two slides, dumping buckets etc along with another deep water pool with lap lanes. Another advantage is that the outdoor lap pool is still open. We swam yesterday. I think it closes Friday.

It's too bad the Collegiate/Poseidon pool doesn't have a slide and play area. Most long course pools (50M) that I've been to also have those.
