How does Tuckahoe compare to the rest of the area? I and my BF might be moving to Richmond at the end of the year and am curious about how it relates to other areas, like Midlothian, Short Pump, Glen Allen, Wyndham, etc.

We don't have kids (yet) but we are looking to buy a home. We're a gay Arab and White couple in our late-thirties. I was curious how Tuckahoe is rated compared to it's neighbors in terms of housing prices, crime/safety, quality of life, how gay friendly it is, traffic, etc.

From looking at a map, the location does seem nice, it seems equidistant from Richmond and most of the other suburbs and areas listed above. Any feedback would be appreciated.

nice older upper middle class suburb. Very centered around families with kids. I doubt you'd have any issue being gay.

It is a lovely area and I find Richmond to be very...open...in relations to inclusiveness and such.
