I travel to West Virginia often for work and I became interested in Richmond because it is so similar to Louisville. Since Richmond is not far from WV, I have jaunted over a few times, once for almost 2 weeks (we also did Norfolk and colonial Williamsburg). So I have spent several weeks total there and being an urban nerd, I love discovering urban mid sized cities.

I "discovered" Louisville in the 1990s well before it was "cool." I really like Richmond. But the attitude of a few here trying to pretend Richmond is like Washington DC compared to Louisville is actually laughable!

Completely incomparable lists, guy. You're including the accolades of individual businesses located within the City which the previous list clearly does not. Just out curiosity.... how is it you continually find yourself in a Richmond forum, fighting tooth and nail to convince Richmonders that Louisville is a better City?

I personally think Louisville is better and more vibrant but it is close...and that is an opinion.

I only came into this thread when people said Richmond was a "step up" and "worldly" compared to Louisville. That couldn't be further from the truth. Louisville is a tiny bit bigger too, especially in city and urban population, and it feels that way. Again, both are great, nearly identical cities.

We are done Mr. Louisville, your city didn't win this, there are no winners here. Your chamber of commerce boosterism has grown oh so insipid.
The dead horse that was continually beaten is no more.
The cows have come home and the overweight lady has sung......
Peace out.....
