What's the job market like in/near the Richmond area? I am considering a relo.
What area the best websites to look for positions?
I'd most likely be looking for a HR-related position.

I would check the federal government website. With the expansion at Fort Lee, that is going to be a major employer. Often (but not always) the pay is lower than the private sector, but the benefits and stability cannot be beat!

Really depends on your industry, I spent several months trying to find a job around Richmond with no success, and was forced to follow most of the big pharmaceutical research companies north to NoVa. Hopefully you'll have better luck than I did . Being the state capital there's always government work to be had in or very near Richmond.

Richmond's job market is very strong. I guess it all depends on what line of work you are in.
Check out the City's website for more info.

Government jobs should ONLY be a LAST RESORT. We need to shrink the size of government, not expand it.

I am retail pharmacist in Louisiana and I am beginning to hate living here in Monroe/West Monroe. Talk about regressive!
I would like to get into the pharmaceutical industry. Can anyone help. PLEASE!

Wyeth has a large facility in Richmond and there are several companies in the biotech industry in the Richmond area... I know some of the tenants in the VA Biotech Park are in related fields.
