Default Richmond Weather

I have other posts out there about moving your way, but can anyone tell me what the weather is right now? For instance, I'm in Toledo, Ohio and we just got another 4 inches of snow last night making a total of about 8 inches currently on the ground. It's about 32 degrees out with a real light snow coming down and no wind. Unfortunately, it's gunna get colder....hence the desire to move south...lol.

Well, if you asked about 5 years ago I think you would have gotten another answer...

Now though, we're lucky if we get more than a couple inches of snow, and if it actually sticks around more than a few hours. In the last 2 years, the area has recieved maybe 5? snow storms, each of which producing under 2 inches of snow, and all of which were melted by the next day.

I'm sure we're due for a big snow storm... but it's just not coming this year it seems.

We've had several days this winter in the 70's and even one day where it hit 80 degrees! Again, if you asked 5 years ago, you would have gotten a very different answer... but in today's environment, it's barely getting below freezing at night, and is generally in the 50's during the day. (At least based on the last couple winters)

I moved down to Richmond in July of 2006 from Cleveland, OH and it was the best decision I have ever made. The weather was a big factor in my decision to come down here. I am one who hates the snow and though we get a few inches down here a year, it is nowhere near the lake effect Cleveland gets.
