I am moving into the Richmond Dairy Apartments in May. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a living experiance or know's someone who has or is currently living their and what it was like. Also, curious to know opinions of the area that they are in. Things to do, places to eat, stuff like that. Thanks.

I've not lived there so I can't help you with that but... Really cool looking building, close to many art galleries and restaurants which are popping up along Broad. The area has a historic, though gritty feel (I personally really dig it). You'll be in an area that is up and coming fast, but still not quite "there" yet, so just use common sense.

One of my favorite restaurants, Tarrant's, is nearby... and if you like soul food, Croaker's Spot is a few block walk. Popkin Tavern seems like it would be a good neighborhood bar.

Default Jackson Ward and Downtown

Welcome to the neighborhood. There's plenty to do. Check out the neighborhood blogs, Style Weekly and the RTD. You are moving to the heart of the city. Watch your step and enjoy First Friday. You are in walking distance of a dozen art galleries and a dozen more excellent restaurants.

Email me for a personal tour.

i have lived their for 5 years--you will like the place. It's pretty quiet, the only drawback is every now and then on Friday/Saturday night, you have to find a place to park if the parking lot is full. Otherwise pay $30 a month for garage parking. I love that the place is in the middle of everything (VCU, East end, west end, southside).

I have managed to steal free parking for 15 years, but times are changing.
