I am from Cali and our slang might be different from slang in Virginia. I am doing a story for class where the setting has to be in a state we favor and with 2 conflicting characters. Mine are girls who are black and in highschool like me. both live in richmond and one lives in a older/more run down neighborhood, the other in a wealthier home. I really want to get my story right and not be disrespectful by using false slang. In my school slang is important and if someone protrayed our Cali slang wrong we would be offended. So please help all you young or older who is cool with the slang!
