nova usually gets noticeably more snow (I've lived there). This was a weird storm, southern track, and Richmond's 12th biggest snowfall of all time. Plus a couple of other minor records. It was more snow than Richmond usually gets for an entire winter, total.

I'm trying to make a comparison between Northern VA and Richmond, VA, winters. We got snow in November 2018, but you all didn't. You all got snow just recently, but we did not. Lord, I hope that it's for the freezing precipitation for both of us. A girl can dream, right?

Thanks again, folks, for the info!
According to Wikipedia, Northern Virginia averages about 12-20 inches while, Richmond averages 9-15 inches annually.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arling...rginia#Climate (15 inches)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richmond,_Virginia (10 inches)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuckahoe,_Virginia (13 inches)

The Western suburbs in both regions average much more snow than the eastern parts.
