Default Newbie moving to virginia

Hi everyone, i'm new to the forum, but ive been reading for a while. I just wanted to get some input on moving to Virginia (Richmond area). Like i said, i have been reading the forum for a while, and i can see that some people definitely like leaving here, while others detest it. it seems the area is also a little bit expensive. i have a tremendous job opportunity, and would be moving overto richmond in a couple months. I would be making about $85+. i'm single and have a fiancee. would this be enough to survive with richmond being expensive?. i'm moving from corinth ms, a very small town, and i absolutely hate it. its one of the reasons i'm leaving. i like city/urban leaving so i dont want to be dissaponted when i move to the richmond area. how is the night life over there. Are there a lot of things to do for single/young people. anyone's input is welcomed.

Thanks all.

Alex

Bimori,

If you are moving from such a small town, I think you will love all that Richmond has to offer in terms of things to do. Also, 85K is a very good salary for this area. I feel that you will find a safe and nice place to either own or rent on that salary.

Good luck!

Richmond will not disappoint you. $85k is a great salary for richmond. You have the beach within 2 hrs also.
