Are there any large furniture stores similar to Green Front in Richmond area? Where should we shop for good quality furniture in the area so we won't have to drive to NC? TIA

This is one place I feel we are lacking. Farmville is excellent for furniture but if you don't want to drive there I would say look into Virginia Wayside as they have beautiful, well made furniture. I also shop at Basset in Short Pump and bought my sectional from Sofa Creations as it was a custom sofa. Other than that we have Havertys and Haynes but I don't care for them, myself.

Havertys is nice. Haynes is your typical chain place with gimmicky sales (things are ALWAYS "on sale") and annoying commercials. But you can still get some decent (not Ethan Allen level) stuff there and they have a wide variety. There are also a number of Haynes-like places on Broad St that are similar. If you're into hard-core pricey stuff though, sorry, hard to find here.
