Question From OK to VA mover questions!

My husband and I are moving to Richmond from Oklahoma City mid May. We bought a home and close on the 16th.

Now, I thought I had movers, but the more I deal with them, the more I don't trust them. Every time I talk with them they say, "Did your rep tell you about this charge or that charge etc." I'm not going to deal with hidden charges all along the way.

PLUS they say it may take 14 days to get from Oklahoma City to Richmond...uh, last time I checked it didn't take 14 days to go 1300 miles.

And every time I do a search for long distance movers the more frustrated and even more confused I get!

I've read some of the other posts about movers and they deal more with the cost of the move. I understand it's going to be expensive...I just want to deal with someone that has a good rep. and is helpful and understanding.

Please, please help!

Last Thursday I had Tyrone's Crematory/Bail Bonds/Payday Loans/BBQ and Moving Service from over on the South Side to move my house. I found it odd when he showed up with just one of his cousins and never asked for the destination address. I hope he is OK, these milk crates really take away from my new home.

Hey Richmondbound,

Curious is to how you are fitting in with VA and any advice for another OKC native planning on moving to Richmond area.
