Question Nice communities in henrico or Chesterfield Counties

We're looking to move to the Richmond are and would like info on family friendly, diverse subdivisions. Our price range is 200k-300k. I'd like a safe place with sport fields and playgrounds for the kids with good schools.

You might want to look at Greenfield or Settler's Landing in Chesterfield. Greenfield is a lovely Elementary school. The area around there has fairly broad diversity and the elementary and High School have ESL programs that further extend that. The school is right in the neighborhood and kids can walk or ride their bikes to school. I know Greenfield has a community pool and there is a great playground across the street with soccer fields and tennis courts (Huguenot Park).

VA Yankee will become famous soon enough
Consider Hunton or West End Manor off West Broad. It's an older neighborhood but well made houses. Recent sales include ranches for @195K and Tri Levels (4 BR) for @225K. The elementary is in the neighborhood, the new middle school and high schools are both 1 mile away. Castle park is 3 miles up the road and a swim club adjoins the neighborhoods.

Shopping is right there on Broad Street so you don't have to drive far to get a gallon of milk.

Default Great neighborhood with top schools

We moved here about 2 years ago and chose the Chesterfield/Midlothian area because of it's proximity to the city and the quality of schools, most notable the Cosby High school district. There area also nice neighborhoods in the Midlothian/ James River High School district of Chesterfield but you will pay quite a bit more. One of the most beautiful areas is around the Swift Creek Reservior. Woodlake would be my first choice in neighborhoods that are in your price range that include incredible amenites. See the link below. There are numerous parks throughout the neighborhood as well as fantastic events located on the waterfront pavilion throughout the year.

FYI-the elementary and middle schools are outstanding in the Cosby district as well, probably the best in Chesterfield aside from Bettie Weaver Elem and Midlothan Middle but check for yourself and see. Here is the best link I've found for verifying the scores of each school.

Good luck!
