Default Need to find a city 60-120 miles away from Richmond

I am a 32 yo single male democrat and liberal. Given this, what do you feel are better cities for me?

1) Williamsburg
2) Lynchburg (great motorcycling but heard it's too christian for me)
3) Charlottesville
4) Suffolk
5) Raleigh

Please rank them from best fit to worst fit for a guy like me and please ignore the economy/job factor as I will be taking a work-from-home job.

Thanks!!!

Charlottesville would be my top pick. I think Raleigh is outside of your target distance from Richmond, but if you do consider that area I would also recommend Durham and Chapel Hill.

Yeah, what about Fredericksburg?

Out of the choices you listed, I'd have to agree with Charlottesville.

Williamsburg is a very nice place. But living here I have found there is not much to do, and not many other single people. If someone else has found otherwise please do tell... It does however have an amusement park and water park, and colonial is pretty neat.

Raleigh is also nice... I have many friends that live there and love it. There would def be more options for meeting people, and doing things. BUT, it is quite far from Richmond more like 170 miles than 120, so you will have a little bit of a drive when you need to go there.

I don't know enough about the other places to give a valid answer for them.

Williamsburg would not really be liberal enough for you. i would suggest Charlottesville. Lots of people from out of state so its more liberal and its a college town- Williamsburg is too, but more for retirees.

Oh and yes by all means avoid anything "too Christian". After all liberals just love diversity (just kidding)
