Any Curry to be found in Richmond area?
I have read about the diversity in the NOVA area but what about the Greater Richmond area? We have been living in London for three years and enjoy Indian food now. Any good Indian restaurants in the area?
Are there a good variety of restaurants in the area?
Certainly not a critical issue by any means but just wondering------
Thanks.

Well, I am far from an Indian food expert, but I love Indian food and about 10 years ago a friend (whi has since moved to Calif) introduced me to Indian food. There is one very good restaurant I know of that is in Northern VA, but from my friend's perspective there is alot more in Northenr VA while the one restaurant I usually go to is in the RT 123 and RT 50 intersection, called Bombay Bistro.
Although I love eating at Indian restaurants....the traffic around Northenr VA is horrible and makes me want to stay in the outlying areas!
Sorry...not much info for Richmond!

YES YES YES! Richmond has some great Indian restaurants. The food in Richmond in general is outstanding, given the size of the town. Depending on what you like, you've got at least 6-10 Indian options that I can think of. Also, Thai, Vietnamese, Cuban, Salvadoran, French, whatever your preference. Wonderful nouveau southern, as well. Go to Styleweekly.com and look at the Food and Drink section. This is your best source for current info! Good luck -- we miss our weekly Indian meals!

There's an Indian restaurant in Carytown.
There are tons of great restaurants in Richmond. Mint Juleps is great for southern gourmet. They even have an English pub called Penny Lane. The Strawberry St Cafe serves great general American fare. There are tons of nice eateries in the Fan and in Shockoe Slip as well. I love the Tobacco Company for fine dining.
