That is so not true. Richmond Crime is dropping very largely so. Only a few areas to watch out for. The Fan, even most of Church Hill is all pretty safe.

I don't watch A&E's Crime 360 but, according to the link for the show, it is NOT "all about crime and murder in richmond va".
According to the site...
"About the show: Crime 360 takes viewers inside the investigation as theories and evidence are brought to life...Viewers will see forensic evidence in a way they've never been able to before."
A Richmond homicide was featured in the pilot episode (it could have very well featured an Alexandria or city in Maryland homicide).

Hyperbole?

Plus, as those who like to use the City of Richmond's homicide rate for negative purposes like to overlook, VA's system of independent cities allows for a distortion of the Richmond metro's homicide rate.
Viewed collectively (as most other regions against which it is judged), the Richmond region has a low homicide rate.

Distortion?

The show does cover crime, that's why it's called Crime 360.

It does cover other cities not just Richmond from what I've read and seen. I don't see why people are so touchy. If the situation is getting better why are you guys trying to deny the show having a few episodes about Richmond?

Maybe it would help if some of us understood why Richmond is involved in the show:

True Crime Shines On Local Stage | WSLS 10

Quote:
Richmond is one of two cities featured on the show—the other is Cleveland—that follows police from the beginning of a homicide case through its conclusion. Along the way, the officers spend a lot of time in forensics laboratories, watching scientists and technicians poring over the evidence, looking for hidden clues.... According to Richmond police spokeswoman Cynthia Price, the department agreed to participate to show how much work goes into homicide investigations, how dedicated the officers are, and how much police depend on involvement from the community.
Crime in the city has dropped DRASTICALLY in the past few years thanks to the work of the RPD and the community fighting crime together. And CNI is correct about the misleading data of the crime rankings due to Virginia's independent city system.

If someone writes "you need to watch that tv show crime 360 its all about crime and murder in richmond va." most reasonable people would conclude that the show was ALL ABOUT crime and murder in RICHMOND, VA.
And...that is not accurate.
It's not about being touchy it's about trying to correct incorrect information.
It is a disservice to mislead people.

Then you come along and fabricate some claim about people denying the show having episodes about Richmond. Pure fabrication. Nowhere can you find that anyone tried to deny the show featured Richmond.

And before they appear...let me predict that more fabrications are forthcoming.

Years ago Richmond was more dangerous in terms of number of homicides in proportion to size. That's why it gained a reputation.

Usually most of them happen in the same areas. But imo think the majority of the city and the burbs are somewhat safe.

One can check the Richmond Police Dept website for more info.

With MCV/VCU here the first thing I would think of is that the show would be more about forensics or the newer technology that MCV/VCU can offer being used to solve the crimes and situations. You're acting like this show is "COPS: Richmond" or something. I'm not sure why you're taking offense to a tv show, it is what it is.
