Hi,

I'm new to Richmond and would like to know if it'll snow here as I'd very much like to see snow fall (never seen before). Is there any place here or nearby where I can experience the beauty of winter - landscapes/ mountains with beautiful scenery, play with snow (build a snow man may be), ride a sleigh etc. I don't know skiing, but interested to know if there's some place nearby where a beginner can try it out. I'm planning my visit in Jan/Feb for 2-3 days.
Appreciate your suggestions.

Thanks,
Belle

No problem. I've yet to go there but heard good things. I'm a little nervous about skiing, but I think tubing sounds pretty fun.

I've lived in Richmond about 8 years. We get some snow, but not typically more than a foot, and it usually occurs in January-March timeframe. The funny thing is, we bought great sleds about 4 years ago. Since then, Richmond's seen virtually no snow. What a bummer!

Oh, I've been checking on weather reports to see some snow fall here, looks like there isn't much to hope for. Hope it does snow this time in Jan-Mar time frame, good luck with ur sleds!

@sls76, Yes, tubing sounds like fun, my husband is very eager to try that out. Thanks.
