I like the colorful houses in the Fan. People in Hampton Roads keep them colonial looking (which I like as well). Much of Historic Church Hill, particularly near St. John's Church and Libby Hill Park, is still unpainted brick. Many of the homes in Jackson Ward also remain unpainted. Like you, I appreciate both. In neighborhoods like the Museum District, it's more of a mixed bag.

what great shots! 540 - your eye is amazing! What are you shooting? I used to live in the apts on Three Chopt and Cox. I hear it's now completely different. Does anyone have any pictures of that? I also used to live by the airport on Hibiscus. Richmond is such a beautiful city that a really miss it most this time of year.

Thanks, but I can't take credit for the nicer pictures. They were taken by other talented photographers in the area who post them on Flickr. I try to credit the photographers or my sources but I may have forgotten to credit on a few photos.

I do post some pictures of mine occasionally, but they are taken with a cell phone so I assume those aren't the nice ones you are talking about. LOL.

Glad you enjoyed them either way.

Some pictures that I did take. (All taken with a cell phone so, as always, excuse the quality).

The Egyptian Building, built in 1845, is a fantastic piece of architecture.
