Default Sandston

Any comments/feelings about it? It seems to be less expensive. What are the schools like? Crime rate? Any help would be appreciated!

Well, that's something. So thanks!

My husband will be working in Midlothian. He commuted 45 minutes to his last job, so 45 or less would be okay.

I investigated further. Sandston isn't for us.

Sandston is a great place to find a starter home for a young family on a budget. Sandston is part of the Varina district thus the schools are somewhat better than nearby Highland Springs. My sister and her family lives in Sandston and love it. One of their sons attends Seven Pines Elementary School and they say it is great. Sandston has a brand new middle school and a new high school on the way next year. I wouldnt cross it off if you are looking for a good place to start out at. Home prices are less but they keep their value. My sisters neighbhor just sold the house they bought 2 years ago for $119k for $160k and havnt put a penny into it. One more thing to point out is that is it close to highways and the city as well at Midlothian (20 min). Good Luck!

Sandston is about 40 minutes from Midlothian, not 20.

Negative Oleo. With the 895 bridge over the Pocahontas Parkway you can get to the edge of Midlothian (Midlothian Turnpike at Richmond/Chesterfield Line) in about 20 min. from the Sandston area. It use to take up to 40 before that was built.

That's not Midlothian! C'mon...

Midlothian is the intersection of Midlothian Trpk & Huguenot and the town of Midlothian is the intersection of Midlothian Trpk & Coalfield Rd.

Nobody lives at the edge of Midlothian, especially that edge. Section 8 housing, [MOD CUT]
And nobody that lives in Midlothian goes that way.

I use to work out at Qimonda and commuted from Midlothian.
