Its not as Southern as it used to be. But its defintely more Southern than Charlotte, Atlanta, or Nashville.

The dividing line is the James River. Once you cross the river going south than sotherness still exists. Stay north of the river then you need to travel west to Goochland or east past I95. Pockets still exist between Fredrickburg and Richmond, but they are disappearing as NOVA comes closer to Richmond.

I don’t know Nashville is purty southern. Charlotte is changing due to the rapid growth of North Carolina in general, but it's still purty southern, same with Gastonia. I can't speak for Atlanta or Georgia in general.
