Default Looking for general information about Richmond

Hello,

I'm looking into possibly relocating into the Richmond area in the next year. I am used to living in a VERY safe neighborhood, and was wondering what parts of Richmond, or the suburbs of Richmond that I should be looking in?

From what I have read, Midlothian and Chesterfield seem like the best areas, but I don't like depending solely on internet reviews.

I am used to renting an apartment in the $1000 range, so I'd be looking for something comparable in price.

Anyway, thanks for any help you can give me, and if for some reason anyone needs any information about the Jersey shore, feel free to ask me.

I would recommend Midlothian or Short Pump. Will you be commuting? If so, I'd pick based on your commute. Personally I prefer Short Pump because I like being near Short Pump Town Center, but if my DH worked in Chesterfield I'd probably be just as happy in Midlothian.
