Default Richmond

I have a sister on indigo rd in Richmond. she likes her neighborhood. she has lived there for about 40 years. For the most part Richmond has a good pay rate in most jobs. I don't know about nurses but my nephew in in another medical field. (not dr)and he makes it very well... Henrinco county

Richmond is a good area for people in healthcare related fields. There has been substantial healthcare job growth in the region, and area hospitals are pretty competitive when it comes to recruiting.

Check out VCU Health System, HCA Richmond, and Bon Secours Richmond. I believe they account for the ownership of all hospitals in the area.

You would enjoy it. Great southern hospitality and from what I read in the local want ads, they are begging for nurses here!

Hi everyone I am yet another Floridian looking to move to the Richmond suburbs. I have been reading about all the great places to stay and everyone on this forum have been friendly and helpful. I am an ER nurse and I am applying for a job at CJW or Johnston-Willis. Are these good areas, the position would be for nights in the ER. I know that some parts of Richmond you wanna stay out of, is this one of them? Thanks a bunch!

CJW has two campuses, the Johnston-Willis Campus and Chippenham Campus. Johnston Willis is probably in a slightly better part of town, but neither are in terribly bad parts. You might get a little more excitement at the Chippenham ER. Good luck! BTW, I'd probably recommend areas in Midlothian/Chesterfield if you are planning on living in the suburbs and working at CJW Medical Center.

I am thinking about moving from Los Angeles to Virgina, where I don't know. Can someone suggest a couple of places that are a little away from the city. My husband and I are in our mid thirties, expecting a child, not really religious but artsy..Any suggestions?

Richmond is not all city... It is smaller than Los. A. My sister lives in the sub. she likes it there. She is in Henrinco Co. There is actulally some rural area near Richmond. And farther south is some beautiful country side.... Check out Roanoke, or the Shannadoa VAlley area
