Default Cost of home insurance - Mechanicsville
HI. We are considering the purchase of a home in Mechanicsville. Can someone ballpark a cost on homeowner's insurance? Home is 2500 sq. ft, list price is around $280, built in 2001, vinyl sided home, 2 story.....

Do you know what the land is worth (since you don't insure the value of the land)? I got a quote last month for a 3500 sq. ft. house with vinyl on 3 sides in Glen Allen. The replacement cost of the home is around $400k. The quote was under $1,000. Hope this helps.
