Default New grad student

I am moving to Richmond as a grad student at VCU this coming fall. I will be visiting in June to look around at apartments. It sounds like the fan area would be great for someone in my situation but am looking for a little more info. My budget is "a decent place for not much money." The cheapest places I have seen are all from "river city real estate" which I have only heard terrible things about. I just want a decent place, close to campus (fine arts building even better.) Studios and 1 br more than enough room.

Should I just drive around and look, or is there some kind of apartment finder?

Thanks for all your help, I know this question must be a bit repetitive, sorry for that.

Justin

In the fan, you are better off finding an individual who lives in the fan area and rents out some of their properties. They usually put signs out, but advertise online.
