Does anyone know about Locators Inc? They claim to help find you listings where you want to move BUT... charge $149 to do it. Is this a scam agencey or is it worth the money for the help?

Thanks for your help. I'm gearing toward Henrico County close to glen Allen, I hear it's more country than city there. Any opinions? The more country the better for us since that's where we live now.

Sounds like a scam to me! Get a buyers agent for free...the seller's pay their commision.

I live in Glen Allen and love it (great schools, good shopping, convenient to my husband's office) but it's not very country. Hanover and Goochland are much more country than Henrico. A typical Henrico home is going to be 1/4 - 1/3 of an acre. Of course there are exceptions, but that's the norm.

SElf serving, but yes I agree a buyer's agent is what you need.

There are parts of western Henrico that might be more "country-like than" short pump and innsbrook but I also agree the more rural areas would be Hanover and Goochland. What size land parcel is desireable?

Yeah, I agree, Glen Allen's not "country".. it's beautiful suburbia (and I love suburbia myself).. Hanover Co or Powhatan are much more "country" and you get a larger lot of land. Please understand that this advice is from someone who's only been to Richmond on a 10 day house hunting trip. I did look at close to 40 houses all over, though.

Locators Inc has properties that would be something to see! However paying for them prior to the reality that they are for real is crazy. We are relocating to Chester VA and looking for property for 5 horses and pets. So need to rent a house with Land that would accomidate. If you know of something in the area close to Chester, VA please contact me.

Funny…. All these posts and no one here appears to have actually used the company! One person here trashes them who is obviously a competitor and others who don’t know anything at all but feel ok with saying things like” Sounds like a scam!” Wow people. Here is the opinion of someone who ACTUALLY did use them. I found a place to live through them. They were clear in what they did, I never felt pressured, the staff was friendly and I found my family a home in Colonial Heights that we all love within a few weeks. Do with this information what you wish.
