So what are the typical winter/summer utility costs??

My family lives in the northern New Jersey area, where I grew up, and we pay anywhere between 10,000 to 25,000 USD in property taxes per year.........This is one of the reasons why, after China, I will be settling down in Richmond or Charlotte...........Thanks for the posts everyone........Good info on Richmond Suburbs......

We are planning on moving from Maryland to Richmond suburbs. We have two elementary schools kids and would like to know of suburbs closer to Richmond with good public schools, affordable housing and low crime area. We are an Asian family and would like to know whether Richmond suburbs are culturally diversed. Thank you for any help..
