Default Where to Stop?

Hi - I am going to be driving from Raleigh to NYC (leaving Raleigh around 9pm) and am trying to see how far north I can get before stopping for the night and finishing the drive the next day. Is Richmond a realistic place to stop? Petersburg?

Thanks!

Yep..that would work.
You could continue on to the DC area to ease the driving burden of the next day but I would guess hotel prices would be more expensive.

Im looking at google maps right now and it says Raleigh to Richmond would take ~2hr45min and Richmond to NYC would take ~5hr45min so maybe going a bit further to spend the night may be better.

DC would be right at the midway point.
