Default Fort Lee, VA area

I am considering a position at Fort Lee. Which local area has the best schools? I am willing to live as far away as Richmond but prefer closer.

How is the cost of living compared to Atlanta, GA?

The above thread covers a good bit of housing information so you might want to read through that and then ask any questions you come up with. In addition, the "search forum" button is a great tool.

The post that felicitile mentioned does have a lot of information. I'll add just a bit here...

We relocated here about 18 months ago, but I grew up nearby. My husband works on Fort Lee and I do quite a bit of volunteering there. I think it's a great place. Some would probably tell you southside VA is a little slower than Atlanta. But asking about schools, I am assuming you have a family. We moved to Chesterfield County specifically for the schools. If you can think of any specific questions let us know...
