Default From Washington, DC to Petersburg, VA

I'm trying to find a job in the Petersburg area so that I can move from DC to Petersburg. I used to attend VSU up until last year (this would have been my junior year) so I'm pretty familiar with the area but not as far as living permanently without attending school. What about finding a job down there? I am experienced in Admin. work but with the economy the way it is i doubt if it would be easy landing one. I would already have a place to stay so I'm not worried about that but I do want to be able to have a job within fair proximity to the university. What advice would anyone have to give as far as moving down there permanently?

Start looking for a government job with the expansion at Fort Lee. Go to the federal job posting site, USAJOBS - The Federal Government's Official Jobs Site. You might also check with the two hospitals in the area, John Randolph and Southside Regional Medical Center.

Good luck!
