ramblin man is on a distinguished road
Default Riverlake Colony subdivision in Henrico and the schools for that area?

Moving to Richmond soon and I'm considering a house in Riverlake Colony subdivision. Anybody have thoughts about whether it's good, bad, things I should think about, etc.

Also, someone mentioned that the schools are good but not as good as other areas. I think the schools are

Elem School:Maybeury
Mid School:Tuckahoe
High School:Freeman

Any thoughts about this school district? Demographics? Etc.?

Thanks.

Here are a few websites to check out:

I think the middle and high schools have good reputations although not considered the best in the county. I believe the elementary school is the weak link. I think I've actually been to Maybeury (my son had a speech assesment there last year) and IMO the school was old and strangely laid out (had to go outside the classrooms to go to the office/clinic).
