Family seeking open adoption looking for potential birthmother leads (Roanoke: homes, to live in)

We are a homestudy-approved family in NC who used to live in Roanoke (and still has family here), seeking a domestic (US) open adoption (meaning birthparents and adoptive parents meet, share identifying information, and get together/share emails, photos, etc while the child grows up.) of a newborn in any state.

We are working with a nationwide adoption agency and are also doing our own networking in the hopes that a woman with an unplanned pregnancy may consider us to raise her child.

Since we visit Roanoke often, we thought we'd look for leads in this area; we'd love to be able to include visits with a birthmother/father and their families in our future trips to Roanoke.

Please post below or send me a message if you know of any leads; our agency has told us that many matches have been made by 'someone knowing someone who knows someone' word-of-mouth networking.
