Default 2010 Population

It seems like the region is experiencing a mini population boom, thankfully not like NoVa but yet a healthy sign our area is growing.

From the 2010 census:
Franklin County had a 18% increase
Lynchburg City 15%
Montgomery County 12%
Beford County 13%
Roanoke County 7%

Illegal immigrants were the driving force; not a good thing.

Not a good idea for an illegal immigrant to fill out a census form so how does anyone know who is legal and who is not?

Roanoke City's population should be hitting 100,000 within the next few years. That's an arbitrary number but it's psychologically significant.

The addition of 1,405 peoploe has taken Floyd over the 15,000 mark. Next thing you know someone will decide that our single traffic light is not enough they'll want to add another somewhere and turn many of the dirt roads into paved ones.
