Default flood zones in Roanoke

What areas of Roanoke, in general, are prone to flooding? I read in an older post that Salem floods which got me to thinking about the metropolitan area.

This last weekend? Almost every intersection!

Low-lying stuff...mostly along the R-noke river (I'd be scared to live in some of those houses along the greenway on Riverland). Also some other random places... a spot along Campbell around 9th or so, but that's mainly street flooding.

Yeah, that spot on Campbell is always flooded. Had to reroute on Saturday at that part. It was creeping up to the front porches of some of those homes. But Saturday was a disaster everywhere!

The hill behind my yard! The clay soil here holds a bit of water then its full.

Luckily the creative retaining wall design carried it all away from my house.

Edgewood just before Brandon flooded last weekend. The Blue Ridge Marathon was rerouted at the last minute to avoid flooding on the Roanoke River Greenway, especially at the low-water bridge.
