Default Been called to pastor a church in the Christiansburg area. Should I take the call?

Hello everyone! I have been called to pastor a church in the Christiansburg/Radford area and am curious what you can tell me about the community. Does the area feel like the "Bible Belt?" Do most people attend church? I am moving from the Little Rock, AR area, but am originally from MI. Also where would you advise me to live and why? Finally would you recommend the area for a young pastor's family? Thanks

Who "called" you? If you are referring to a call from God, why are you asking us for a second opinion?

The Christiansburg/Radford area is a big college area with tons of students attending Va Tech, Radford U & many other smaller schools. Christiansburg & Blacksburg are 2 different worlds. Blacksburg is like a "mini" Northern Va with tons of high tech geeks, international cultures and progressive politics. Christiansburg is more "bible belt" with pick up trucks, southern Baptist right wing conservative politics and more traditionally southern. I have never been to Arkansas but I would assume it would be similar. If you are confused by this
strange community come to Roanoke where you will find everything rolled into one! Many people live in Roanoke and work in Christiansburg, btw! Good Luck!
