Default Preschools in Roanoke/Salem

We will be moving to Roanoke in June 2008. We have not purchased a home yet, but we will most likely be living in Salem or SW Roanoke County. I have one who will start Kindergarten in the Fall of '09 and would like her to have a year of preschool prior to K. Any recommendations would be appreciated. I would prefer a 2 or 3 day program. Church based would be great but I am open to Montessori or traditional preschool. I know a lot of preschools do registration in later winter or early spring so I guess it's not to early to start looking. Thanks for any input.

I am also looking for a good Mother's Day out program for my youngest who would be 15 months old when the Sept-May sessions started. I have a list from our realtor. It's just nice to hear some opinions of places where someone has had actual experiences.

We had our youngest at New Vista Montessori on Brandon for one year prior to starting JK at North Cross, and we were very pleased with the school.

Thanks. I found them on the web and it sounds great. It's kind of hard to pick a preschool when I don't know where we'll live and therefore where my school age child will be going. I've heard that getting around Roanoke isn't bad so even if they are spread out for a year it sounds doable.
