They seem to have something going with restaraunts, because Zoes Kitchen is open. Zaxbys, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, and Smoothie King are under construction. Still no Dunkin Donuts or Chili's yet! The mall is slowly crumbling and Liberty just needs to buy it so a town center can be built! No GAP...ughhhhhh...or Express!

Lynchburg should have a Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Creme. The KK is no more in Roanoke, word is a new one is planned?
Chilis has totally forgotten this region entirely so I wish them well. L should try to get a Trader Joe since it has a Fresh Market.
Does L have a Dennys?

Well it is Chilli's loss. The whole donut franchise situation is pretty shocking, but true. Lynchburg could support a Trader Joes, but im not sure if it could support a Whole Foods, with the fresh market. No Denny's

Denny's?? Chili's?? Talking about having Denny's/Chili's as something desirable? Several other places cover that ground on Wards Road. Here in Seattle they closed most of them due to lack of business. Now Trader Joes I want and think they will come. Expanding rapidly. Would do well. I think Whole Foods thing is over anyway. I'll take a Costco.

KK has already bought the land and got the permit approved for a hershburger Road location in roanoke. It will be a new prototype design they have been working on next to K&W. Used to be a appliance store.

Not the same appliance store that was a Wendy's, is it?

Yes it is. The guy that owns the appliance store found a new bigger building and has already moved I believe. He didn't seem to have any problems with it.

Much better to reuse those older facilities than to tear down and replace with a structure that won't last half the time.

Normally YES!! (One nice thing about the SUBWAY chain - they can somehow fit in their operation anywhere!)

HOWEVER if this had meant getting a Krispy Kreme WITHOUT the ability to make doughnuts onsite, then I would say TEAR THAT SUCKER DOWN AND START OVER!

(By the way - in case you are having trouble following this thread, it quickly morphed from Lynchburg clothing stores to Roanoke doughnut stores haha!!)

Well KK is tearing down the old appliance store. They just wanted the land. This one will make the doughnuts like the old one but with new design and things like a drive thru etc.
