Default storage area in Salem

My son is moving out of his dorm at Roanoke College today and I think he's going to need a storage area. Last year when he came home he filled his car to the brim with stuff and then he drove most of it back down to Salem in the fall. Since then he has acquired a desk chair and probably some other bulky things that we really don't need to store in our house up here in PA.

I've e-mailed him a link I found to Salem storage areas but was wondering if any of you have any first hand information on good places near the College. When I talked to him on Sunday he wasn't sure if he would be leaving today or tomorrow. There is a chance he will be doing a study abroad in the fall so mght not be back until the Spring semester in January.

Suggestions?

I'm sure that one place is probably about as good as the next, providing they are secure. I would think price would be the next most important thing. Here's a map of, and some links to, places in the Salem area.

Never mind. He somehow found room for everything. If you see an overloaded tan sedan with PA tags on I-80, give him a wide berth. I doubt he can see over everything.

Anyone else that has kids that will be starting college in the fall, I can assure you that there are good pickings outside of the dorms at Roanoke today!
