Could you list some big ones? I boycott google (for a reason), other search engines are not that good, print yellow pages has tons of them (hard to tell which ones are big though the ones with ad tend to be "substantial"), noticed one right on the ourskirt of the Roanoke city...
Your input would be appreciated. |

The big ones are Grand and Haverty's. The Virginia Furniture Market on 220 South in Franklin County is nice (and big).
Also Grand has an outlet warehouse that is only open Thurs-Sat. that is nice too - we've bought from them. The outlet is on Rhodes Ave. NE (off of 460). Happy Shopping! |

Thank you, Erin. And what's the one right on the ourskirt of the Roanoke city, off 220 called?

I'm not sure where you are talking about? The furniture Market on 220 is quite a ways outside of the city, but I'm not sure which one is right on the outskirts.

Yeah the Virginia Furniture Market is about, oh, 17 minutes further south of the Roanoke City line. It has a good selection. My personal favorite is Grand Home Furnishings on Electric Rd which is across from Tanglewood. My second favorite is Mostly Sofas which is just off Route 220/581 via the Elm Avenue (6) exit and may be the one you're thinking off. The third is Virginia Furniture Market. If you want to drop as little coin as humanly possible the Haverty's near Valley View is your best bet I think. If you're looking to drop as much coin as possible on heirloom quality furniture then Reid's in Grandin Village is _the_ place. I've _almost_ bought stuff at Reid's a couple of times but then I remember I have two young children and after imagining them doing craft projects on top of a $6,000 table and getting shivers up my spine I move on to something in the Grand Home budget range

Yeah, Mostly Sofas sounds like the one I talked about at the city's outskirt. Thank you both.
