Unhappy Recommendations for a good traffic lawyer?

I received two tickets over the past two months for reckless driving by speed and just went to court this morning for one - naturally, the prosecutor is seeking jail time so they gave me a continuance to find a lawyer and return to court. In the meantime I will be going to court for the other one as well. I know, I know, I need to slow down, I actually haven't gotten a ticket in a good while...but as of right now I need an attorney. Does anyone know of any locally, and what they may charge for each case? I've had no experiences with any.

I'm guessing even with a lawyer I will be lucky to get away with a couple days in jail on at least one of these. I would like to mitigate the damage as much as possible, though.

Thanks.

interesting screen name, considering your predicament. If I were you, I'd just break out the yellow pages and start calling around. Is that a normal thing for a prosecutor to be seeking jail time for a couple of traffic offenses on an otherwise-good driving record?

Definately not normal for the commonwealth's attorney to seek jail time for two reckless driving tickets. You must have something else on your record. Tony Anderson is the best defense attorney in south west virginia, if not the entire comonwealth
