Hi! I would suggest going to an employment agency, post resumes online and just spend some time here (a week or so) in a hotel searching for jobs. I think if you look hard enough it will pay off. And like I told my girlfriend you may have to take a job you dont want at first while continueing your search for the right job for you. As for nightlife I am not sure of your age but I am guessing in your early to mid 20's. I think you can find plenty to do here in downtown Roanoke as well as in the burbs. There are several night clubs downtown including corned beef, the mix one six, awful authors, and others to name a few. I enjoy going to the bar with friends one of my favorite is Fork in the alley here in South Roanoke. As for apartments I am not too sure how much you are willing to spend but I would suggest looking at those owned privately. I found my just by riding around and looking. I prefer privately owned but that's just me. They tend me less expensive because in complexes your paying for the pool and other ameneities that I am just not interested in. Looking in the south roanoke area may be a little higher.. I pay $520 a month in south roanoke but people tell me that is rare for my neighborhood. You could try Old Southwest where it tends to be a little bit less. Good luck on your searches and let me know if you have any other questions.

I was wondering what jobs would be available for me? We're looking for inexpensive housing as well. We need to rent, so any recs for a 1 bedroom apt. would be great! I can't afford those nice estate apts, as much as I'd like to live in one.
Also, just any general info or advice about the area? What about nightlife & clubs? Or any websites that are helpful? Thanks so much!
