Default Need recommendations for an inexpensive hotel or motel in Lynchburg

My sister and I are planning on our visit to Lynchburg before sealing the deal on moving there (my sister has a job interview already! not me yet...) Anyway, I need recommendations from you kind folks. We don't have a lot of money so we're looking to spend no more than $100 a night (hopefully, even less). Unfortunately, Rivermont's B&B is out for us ($174.00 a night! yikes! that's NYC prices). Any, and all, opinions welcomed. We're planning on coming the week of January 5th. Thanks!

My friend, Badger; good suggestion as always!! Unfortunately, they're BOOKED for quite some time. We tried calling them yesterday, I believe. But they put us on a waiting list if anyone cancels.

Any other suggestions?

Default room

Sleep Inn is not bad and around $80 with AAA rate discount. Newer and the only bad thing was the lowflow showers. Located near LU.

Try the ones near Wards Road and Candlers Mountain Road, They are near the mall.
Day's Inn
Sleep Inn
Hampton Inn
Holiday Inn Express
Kirkley
I don't think any of these will be too high.

Over New Years, Liberty U is haveing something that might cause all motels to fill up.

My sister and I settled on Day's Inn; it's $65.00 per night. I'll let you all know what I thought when I get back.

Day's Inn is a good choice. Right across Candlers Mtn. Road from Mall. It is only about a mile from Cherokee Ave. by road, Half a mile "as the crow flies".

Well, I was going to write and update everyone but three days before my sister and I were going to leave we both got REALLY sick. My sister came down with bronchitis and I developed the worst cold I think I've ever had in my entire life (still getting over it). So...we cancelled our Amtrak tickets (got our money back, thank God) and cancelled our Days Inn stay. We will try (Lord willing) again sometimes soon. We were (and are) very disappointed.

Thanks for thinking of me and asking, Roadrunner.
